01What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
A quote tells the customer what the work will cost before you start, and is valid for a set time. An invoice asks for payment once the work is done. Here you can turn an accepted quote into an invoice with one click, with every line copied over.
02How long should a quote be valid?
30 days is common, and that is the default here. For prices that change quickly, such as materials, use 14 days. Change the Valid until date or pick 14, 30 or 60 days.
03Can I add VAT or sales tax to a quote?
Yes. Choose Tax invoice as the type and set the rate per line. The quote shows the subtotal, the tax and the total, just like an invoice.
04Is the quote generator free?
Yes, quotes are free on every plan and share the same daily allowance as invoices. Pro (£20 for 12 months) adds unlimited documents, premium designs and saved clients.
